Happy Spring equinox! Spring is definitely my favorite season for a few reasons. I was born in spring time, and all the flowers and chirping baby birds just makes me very happy.( I also got married last year in spring time! ) This season represents birth, new growth and expansive energy.

In Chinese Medicine the season spring is associated with the Liver organ, which is responsible for the free flow of qi in the body.

This is a really great time of the year to move your body, which helps move your qi!

Eat more greens. Green is the color associated with the liver and springtime. Eat more young plants - fresh, leafy greens, sprouts, and immature cereal grasses. Leafy greens life kale, dandelion, collards, and mint are also great choices. This can improve the liver's overall functions and aid in the movement of qi.

Try to eat locally grown and in season as much as possible.

Get acupuncture treatments. Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine can help improve the overall health of your liver as well as treating stress, allergies, immunity, pain, and more!
